Newts are to be found this Spirng 2010 in our newly extended pond. A Hedgehog Home – Created by the Machynlleth Community Nursery Children in November 2009 A Golden -ringed Dragonfly spotted on the first day of the newly created pond – September 2009 The Wildlife Shelter Home- created at Y Miri Mawr/The Big Do in August 09 Both the RSPB Ynys-hir and The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust have been working with us closely to conserve the garden as a wildlife garden. Caroline DeCarle from the RSPB has recently carried out a bird survey of the site. It includes:

• Great tit
• Chaffinch
• Greenfinch
• Goldfinch
• Goldcrest
• Jackdaw
• Robin
• House sparrow
• Pied wagtail
• and a buzzard in the distance
